Nobody gets accused
A one-sided report that a named company "ghosts people" is an unverifiable claim about an identifiable party. Any workable design has to produce a useful signal without that.
What is being built, and what is not
The honest answer is: not much yet, and the shape is not settled. This page is the current thinking, published so it can be corrected rather than quietly revised.
What does not exist
- No product, no application, no account system.
- No database of clients, companies or individuals.
- No reviews, ratings or scores of anybody.
- No waiting list, no launch date, no pricing.
Constraints any version has to satisfy
Useful before the work, not after
A record that only becomes readable once the unpaid hours are already spent has missed the moment it was for.
Worth the effort to contribute
Anything that depends on freelancers filing reports about bad experiences will get data from the angriest people only, which is the least reliable sample there is.
Directions being considered
Roughly in order of how likely they seem to survive the constraints above, and none of them decided:
- Response-time signals derived from what actually happened, aggregated so that no single engagement is identifiable.
- A structured way to make a proposal expire, so silence has a defined end rather than an open one.
- A checklist that puts the questions worth asking before the scoping call rather than after it — no data collection at all, and the cheapest thing on this list to be wrong about.
